Effective date: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Chronica iOS application (“Chronica”, “the app”, “we”) handles information when you use it. Chronica is designed to work without an account and to keep as much as possible on your device.
Usage analytics. To understand how the app is used and improve it, we collect anonymous usage events (for example: a chapter was opened, a quiz was completed, a paywall was shown) through PostHog. These events are linked to a random identifier, not to your identity. See the PostHog privacy policy.
Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details. To validate purchases and manage subscription status, anonymized receipt data is processed by Adapty, our subscription infrastructure provider. See the Adapty privacy policy.
Content delivery. The app downloads reading content and images from our servers. Like any web server, they may temporarily log technical data (such as IP address) needed to deliver the content; this data is not used to identify you.
Local data stays on your device until you delete the app. Anonymous analytics events are retained by our analytics provider for as long as needed for product statistics.
Chronica is a general-audience educational app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
