Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Chronica iOS application (“Chronica”, “the app”, “we”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

1. What Chronica is

Chronica is an educational reading app: short history chapters, historical figures, stories, and quizzes. Content is provided for general educational and entertainment purposes and is not professional or academic advice.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control. All app content — texts, illustrations, design, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute, or resell the content outside the app.

3. Subscriptions

• Part of the content is free. Full access requires the Chronica Unlimited auto-renewing subscription: yearly or monthly. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings (App Store → your profile → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules: reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer the app, interfere with its servers, or use the content in a way that violates law or third-party rights.

5. Availability and changes

We continuously improve the app and may add, change, or remove features and content. We aim for the app to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of content delivery services.

6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the current version is always published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
