Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Pin Share iOS application ("Pin Share", "the app", "we", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Pin Share, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The short version: You can use Pin Share for personal, non-commercial use. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. The app is a custom pin sharing tool and does not modify your device's GPS. Use the app respectfully and at your own risk.

1. License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Pin Share on iOS devices you own or control, in accordance with the rules set forth by the Apple App Store.

2. Subscriptions and Payment

2.1 Subscription plans

Pin Share offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions to unlock premium features. Plan options typically include a weekly and a yearly subscription. Current prices, billing periods, and any introductory offers are displayed on the in-app paywall before purchase, denominated in your local App Store currency. Prices may vary by country and may be changed from time to time. The price you see at the point of purchase is the price you will be charged.

2.2 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal is charged to your Apple ID within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.

2.3 Managing or cancelling your subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

Open the iOS Settings app
Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
Select Pin Share and tap "Cancel Subscription"

Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. Once cancelled, you keep premium features until that period ends.

2.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies. To request a refund, please visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

2.5 Restoring purchases

If you reinstall Pin Share or use a different iOS device with the same Apple ID, you can restore your active subscription via the "Restore Purchases" option in the app's Settings.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Pin Share for unlawful purposes or to facilitate harassment, stalking, or invasion of privacy
Share pins in a way that misrepresents another person's location or invades their privacy
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except as permitted by law
Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the app in ways not intended
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the app or any of its components

4. User Content

Pin Share lets you create pins, attach photos, and share content through standard iOS share extensions. You are responsible for the content you create and share. By using the app to share content, you confirm that you have the right to share that content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

We do not claim ownership of your pins or photos. Your content stays on your device unless you actively share it.

5. Disclaimer About Location Services

Pin Share is a custom location pin sharing tool. The app does not modify your device's actual GPS, mock location services, or interfere with location data reported to other apps. Shared pins reflect locations you choose on the map and do not represent your real-time presence. This app is intended for entertainment and convenience purposes.

6. Third-Party Services

Pin Share integrates with the following third-party services:

Apple Maps / MapKit — for displaying maps and geocoding
Adapty — for subscription management
PostHog — for anonymized product analytics

Your use of these services through Pin Share is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pin Share is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of geographic data, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Pin Share or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Pin Share if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the app becomes impractical. You may stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. Subscription rights upon termination are governed by Apple's policies.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence to the extent required by applicable consumer protection law, otherwise by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Pin Share is published. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Apple's Standard End User License Agreement for Apple Media Services, where applicable.
